Luis Miguel Ramis has been appointed as the new coach of Osasuna until 2028 at the El Sadar stadium. The coach has made it clear that the demand will be the basis of his project. "What we will ask for will cost a lot of effort, but in this club it will not be a novelty", he warned, marking the intensity and commitment that he will demand from his players from the first day. It is the fourth move of the Pamplona team to assemble the first team squad after the renewals of the forwards Kike Barja and Raúl García de Haro and the departure of the defender Juan Cruz. During his presentation, Ramis launched a subtle jab at the Italian Alessio Lisci, former coach of the team: "What is done at home is supported by our fans, but competitive behavior must be kept outside". The statement makes implicit reference to last season, in which Lisci only managed two wins outside of El Sadar, highlighting the need to improve the team's performance on the road. The coach has shown his gratitude for the opportunity and has remembered the figure of Jagoba Arrasate. "I am very grateful to train this great club. Jagoba has been a reference and always has had very good words towards me. I have taken a lot from him and I hope to have learned", he said, leaving clear his respect for the previous work in the club. Ramis has defined his goal: to build a mature team at a collective level, with a clear idea of the game in each match. "We want to instill, above all at a collective level, an idea of what we want in each match and that it has identity", he explained. The whole plan is based on "functioning on the field and taking us to victory". The coach has insisted that he wants a recognizable and stable team, capable of giving importance to all phases of the game. "We want a solid block, that is seen and felt on the field", he emphasized, highlighting the consistency he seeks in both attack and defense. On the style of play, Ramis has specified that there will be phases with the ball and phases without it. "We will not be a defensive team, but a team that defends well and gives value to all actions", he explained, marking the intention to balance possession and defensive solidity. Regarding the squad, he has valued its potential: "There are many possibilities and qualities enough to approach the team we want. It is very important to generate competitiveness in all positions", he highlighted, showing his intention to improve progressively what already exists. The demand has been another of the main messages. "We must give continuity to the demand and not leave for tomorrow what you can do today. During the season, there will be ups and downs and, when they happen, they can be a problem", he warned, insisting on the need to maintain intensity in a constant manner. Ramis has recognized the plus that represents the fans in home games, but has insisted on the mentality that must accompany the team on the road. "Outside of home, we must be responsible and maintain the levels we show with our people", he added, leaving a clear objective for the players. The Tajonar youth academy has also had prominence in his presentation. Ramis has highlighted its relevance and has promised opportunities to those who deserve it: "I know the importance of the Tajonar youth academy and I hope to be able to give opportunities to the young people who deserve it".
