Osasuna will travel to Villarreal to face Spain's top under-12 youth teams in one of the most special youth football tournaments in Spain. The red-and-white team will participate in the XXXIII Torneo Nacional Laliga Futures, a competition that will bring together the under-12 teams of the 20 clubs of LALIGA EA SPORTS in the Pamesa Sports City of Villarreal CF. The Navarrese expedition will be made up of players from the Alevín 'A' and Alevín 'B' teams born in 2014. For many of them, it will be one of their first major competitive experiences away from home, in a championship that has served as a showcase for some of the future stars of Spanish and European football. The tournament, organized by LALIGA and the José Ramón de la Morena Foundation, will bring together the top under-12 teams in the country for three days. In total, 56 matches will be played, with the Pamesa Sports City as the epicenter of national youth football. Osasuna has been placed in Group D, alongside Sevilla FC, Villarreal CF, Atlético de Madrid and Elche CF. The group stage will be played on Friday, June 5, with four matches for the red-and-whites in a very demanding day. The first match of the Navarros will be at 10:00 am against Sevilla FC. Later, Osasuna will face the host, Villarreal CF, at 5:30 pm. Then, another high-level duel will take place against Atlético de Madrid, scheduled for 7:00 pm, and will close the group stage against Elche CF at 8:30 pm. The top two teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the quarterfinals, which will begin on Saturday at 10:00 am. The semifinals, the third and fourth place match and the final will be played on Sunday, June 7. The LALIGA FC FUTURES tournament has a competitive component, but also an attractive special feature, the names that have passed through its fields before reaching the elite. Players like Lamine Yamal, Fernando Torres, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Canales, Dani Carvajal or Pau Cubarsí played in this tournament when they were still children. Now, the young red-and-whites will have the opportunity to live that same experience in installations that have already hosted several editions of the tournament and are again putting on a show to receive the most promising youth teams in the country. The Osasuna expedition will be made up of 12 players: Héctor Jiménez, Iker Navarro, Álvaro Gómez, Darío Jiménez, Mikel Zunzarren, Aiur Espinal, Leo Cambero, Oier Carmona, Daniel Mañero, Oihan Gurbindo, Hodei Sagüés and Mateo Ozcoidi. The team will be led by Amaia López and Ander Elcano. Also, Unai Pérez will be part of the expedition as a physical trainer, and Borja Arce as a goalkeeper coach. In addition, the technical staff will be completed by the coaches of the Alevín 'A' and 'B' teams, Javier Torres and Asier Izura. Pablo Martínez will serve as head of expedition. The championship can be followed live through Movistar+, DAZN, GOL, LALIGA TV BAR, LALIGA HYPERMOTION TV and LALIGA+, allowing the red-and-whites to be seen in one of the youth tournaments with the highest follow-up in the national calendar.
