Osasuna has left a mark in the history of Panamanian football through figures like Thomas Christiansen. This forward, who joined the club in the 1993-94 season, was one of the signings during Fermín Ezcurra's era. Although his time at El Sadar was not the most successful, scoring only one goal in 14 matches, his career took off later in the Bundesliga, where he became the top scorer with 21 goals in the 2002-03 season. After his playing career, Christiansen became a coach and is currently leading the Panama national team, preparing for their second World Cup participation. Alongside him, Javier Sánchez Jara, another former Osasuna player, has also made his mark in Panamanian football as his assistant. The stories of these two players illustrate how Osasuna has influenced the development of football in Panama and how their paths have intertwined over the years.
