The manager made five substitutions in the second half in an attempt to react. Enrique Barja, Rubén García, Ante Budimir, Jon Moncayola and Romain Del Castillo came on, but the flow of the game did not change. Rubén García and Abel Bretones were booked in the closing stages.
This defeat marks a third consecutive loss in La Liga for Osasuna, following defeats to Espanyol and Alaves. The team needs to correct its course quickly, as they host Rayo Vallecano at El Sadar next Saturday, 19 September.
