Osasuna has renewed its medical collaboration with the Clínica Universidad de Navarra until June 30, 2029. The agreement, signed on Monday at El Sadar, ensures the continuity of an institutional alliance that marks a decade and provides healthcare coverage for all the club's teams.

The president of Osasuna, Luis Sabalza, and the general director of the clinic, Joseba Campos, formalised the extension. Sabalza highlighted the value of the pact. "For Club Atlético Osasuna it is a pride to be able to renew its commitment with the Clínica Universidad de Navarra until 2029," said the club chief. For his part, Campos emphasised the community link. "Caring for Osasuna has a special meaning for us because it means caring for an institution deeply connected to Navarra," he explained.

A history that began in 1977

The relationship dates back to 1977, when the then medical director Eduardo Ortiz de Landázuri established an agreement to conduct four annual tests for the first team, an initiative that emerged after statements from the era's coach, Javier García Verdugo. Since then, the clinic has become the official provider of the club's medical services. Doctor Andrés Valentí heads Osasuna's medical service within the healthcare institution.

The workload accumulated since 2016 illustrates the intensity of this collaboration. In that period, professionals from the Clínica Universidad de Navarra have carried out 800 medical check-ups for the start of the season or new signings. Also, they have performed 100 surgeries and provided 1,500 assists in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, along with another 700 attentions in the Emergency Service.

Beyond healthcare

The alliance goes beyond strictly clinical matters. Osasuna players regularly visit children hospitalised at the clinic, an action framed within the club's collaboration with the social program Niños contra el Cáncer. The twelfth charity gala for this initiative is scheduled for November 12 in Pamplona.

The clinic's brand presence is visible in multiple club spaces. Its logo will continue to feature on the front of the shorts for the men's first team, women's team, and reserve team kits, in addition to advertising billboards, the mixed zone at El Sadar, the Tajonar facilities, and the team bus.

This institutional reinforcement comes during a challenging sporting period. Osasuna sits 13th in La Liga with 8 points, having recorded two wins, two draws, and three defeats in the first seven matchdays. To check the status of the squad, including striker Ante Budimir, the top scorer with five goals, the squad section is available. The club has not disclosed the financial details of the renewed agreement, which will run for nearly three more years.
