Club Atlético Osasuna completed their training on Thursday ahead of Sunday's league match against Racing Santander. Jagoba Arrasate oversaw the session at the Tajonar facilities, with the focus on a key game to try and climb away from the lower reaches of the table, where the team currently sits 16th with 8 points.
The session took place with several notable absentees. Players Herrando, Moro, Del Castillo, Aimar Oroz and Asier Bonel continued their respective recovery processes, working separately. Kike Barja, meanwhile, completed individual work due to muscle soreness. To round out the group, goalkeeper Yoel Villamayor and defender Kepa Sarango joined from Osasuna Promesas.
The team, coming off a heavy 5-2 defeat to Real Betis, is looking to bounce back against a direct rival. Racing Santander, who visit El Sadar this Sunday at 14:00, sit just above them in the standings in 15th place. In the last meeting between the two, a pre-season friendly, Osasuna won 2-0.
Preparation will conclude on Saturday with a closed-door session. The objective is clear: to take all three points and improve a difficult situation where the team has managed just one point from its last five games. Striker Ante Budimir, the team's top scorer with six goals, will be a key piece in the red attack.
